Addie's been sick again. Poor girl. I feel like that's all I write about on here. I guess she's just that age and it's that season. It's been some really rough nights for mom and dad, and I guess baby too. But she still manages to laugh and play and be her happy baby self, although subdued and more winy.

She has started experimenting posing with her mouth wide open. I say the look works for her.

So much happy she can't contain it! When she's really excited she waves her arms up and down in the air like she's trying to fly.

And she is sooo close to crawling! Any day now!!!

We love you miss Addie Jane!

This little girl has decided that her crib is a baby jail, and not meant to take naps in. This is a recent development. We think it is because she is getting more mobile and is happier rolling around trying to crawl than to nap.

She does have a point. It does look a bit like a baby jail.

This pictures are how nap time goes around here. We've done this for two hours, her constantly moving around, me trying to get her to sleep. Most of the time she wins. The really frustrating part is that as soon as I pick her up to rock her, she's asleep! Instantly! I lay her back down, she wakes up, and we start over again. I've given in more than once and been a mama bed for hours during the day. Everything just goes better when she gets a nap, so sometimes a mama gets desperate!

We are hoping its just a phase. She'll get used to her mobility and let herself fall asleep.

Look at that face though. Baby torture going on in this house. Doesn't it just break your heart? When she gives me that look, most of the time she wins. I let her play for 15 more minutes or I rock her until she's deep enough asleep for me to lay her down. Poor baby girl.

She's sure cute though!!

We had an awesome day yesterday. Jaron didn't have work, and so we took advantage of that and spent the whole day together. It was so nice to just be together.

We went to Park City and shopped at the outlet mall. We mostly window shopped, but we were able to get some things we needed, like new shoes and a birthday gift for Jaron's brother. It was very cold, very snowy, and Addie has a very protective mommy. We bundled her up until she could hardly move, and she was not pleased. Her little cheeks are still flushed from the cold though.

We ended the day by going to the Heber City historic railroad and got the ride the train. Addie loved it. She loved the movement, looking out the window, being with mom and dad, and all the attention she got from the other passengers. There were several grandmas who seemed taken with her, and kept coming up and saying hi.

Addie was happy to sit by herself for a bit. She loves being big.

And happy to be silly!!

She looks so much like her daddy. We heard that a lot from people yesterday too. Guess there's no doubt who the daddy is!

We loved spending the day together as a family!!!

This is Addie's face when she first sees her daddy when he comes home from work.

She sure loves her daddy!!

She loves her papa too. And getting tossed in the air!

We've got our own little gerber daisy!!

She is the cutest baby girl in the world. She is just so fun. We love her.

She had a rough day yesterday. We think she is teething, and to top it off she was sick. She threw up some mucus and ran a fever. She really need mom yesterday. I held her for most of the day, and told Jaron I felt like a "mommy bed". She took all her naps on me, and would not let me step five feet away from her. She wanted to sit on my lap while she played with toys. She want lots and lots of hugs and cuddles. It made me grateful that I can be home with her, especially when she needs me like she did yesterday. I think that when at all possible, mommies should be home with their babies, and there is no replacement for it. We are so grateful that our situation allows for that to happen.

We love you Addie baby.

We're working on our hand-eye coordination and chewing solid foods at the same time. She is able to feed herself cheerios now, and loves it!!

Such a pretty girl!!!

Addie's yeast infection looks like it's finally cleared up. Keeping our fingers crossed that it stays away for good this time. She is a much happier baby without an owie bummy. Poor baby girl. She also slept great last night, she only got up three times!!! I told my mother-in-law that this morning, and she commented on how funny that was, that getting woken up only three times during the night constitutes a good nights sleep. I guess it's all about perspective. We've been getting up 8-9 times a night, so 3 is a big improvement!!

In other news, Jaron got a phone call last night letting him know that he got the HPSP scholarship!! Now it is decicion crunch time: Ohio State with the HPSP scholarship or USUHS? We will let you know when we make a decision.

So proud of that hubby of mine. He is such a great father and husband. And super smart and good looking!! He works so hard to support this little family. We sure love him.

It's been a rough couple weeks for this little girl. She's got a yeast infection that is very persistent and medication resistant. We've gone to several doctor's appointments and used several different medications, but it's still hanging around and giving this poor baby girl a lot of grief. As a result, we've done a lot of cuddling. She doesn't let us do this often, so we love it while we can.

She also got shots this week, and needed some daddy cuddles. Daddy wasn't home (he was at work) so I handed her the teddy bear her daddy gave her. Look at that smile. She had it on her face as soon as I handed her the bear. A little bit of daddy's love when she needed it

I gave her a bath after her shots, thinking that the lower half of her body must be hurting pretty bad, with the yeast infection and 4 mean pokes. I filled the sink, and she promptly pooped in it. She didn't seem to mind, but now the baby was sitting in very poopy water with recent shot sites and a very bad yeast infection with open, weeping, bleeding sores on it. I drained the water, soaped her down, cleaned the sink, and started the bath over again. Little baby was just waiting for me to do that, because she pooped again! At this point I was just laughing, and really hoping I wasn't hurting her poor bummy sores with the poopy water. I repeated the process, and this time she didn't dirty the water and she was able to soak in the warm water. I think she enjoyed it. In fact, I think she thought it was like a spa and was loved getting pampered. Look at this picture I took of her:

Little lounger!! So cute though. And as far as we can tell her bum is no worse for the wear from sitting in poopy water.

She has also started feeding herself. Which means lots of messes!!

We went to Walmart yesterday with Jaron's sister Jamie. Addie apparently felt that the trip was very boring. This is how she sat in the shopping cart the whole time:

Lounging back, not a care in the world. Notice her left foot. Propped up on the handle bar of the cart. Such a silly baby. I kept sitting her back up and straitening her out, and she would promptly slouch down and stick her foot up again.

You know, sometimes I want to sit like this too.

Addie's latest accomplishment is sitting up on her own in bed. And rolling all over, attempting to crawl, ending up at the other end of the crib, feet where he head was, etc. This makes nap time very difficult. I know she's tired, constantly rubbing her eyes, yawning, acting sleeping, but she is too interesting in moving around to sleep. Check out this video.

I sent this video to Jaron, telling him that Addie and I were in a battle over nap time and she was winning. I won in the end though, she finally fell asleep. I think that this is how future nap times will go though. And she will probably win many many times.

Sure love this girl. We love her personality. We love how mobile she is getting and how she is able to better explore the world around her.

With Christmas and the holidays winding down, Jaron going back to work, kids going back to school, we decided it was time to put the Christmas tree away. I had to take one last photo shoot of little Addie in front of the tree before I put it away. It's been such a fun backdrop, and Christmas is just happy. I wanted to get some pictures of her under the tree in this outfit anyway, so it worked out.

Grandma's favorite present. I think she was everyone's favorite present this year.

Love this girl! I love taking pictures of her, and capturing the wonder and excitement of having a baby.
